Sometimes we’re misunderstood
And sometimes we misunderstand
and the truth of the matter is
We’ve all suffered that hand

How we’ve responded
Or may have reacted
In truth shows our persona
Our character or lack thereof

Step back and re-asses
Think wisely and recount
Before again spitting out words
Or worse still, in our silence rebound

In all ways should our speech
With naked honesty flow
Or show care and compassion
And set spirits aglow
